Video Competition Entries

If you have had a great housesitting experience whether you are a homeowner or a housesitter we ‘d love to hear about it. Please ensure that the video content you submit is entirely of your own making with the permission of all who take part.

Theme – Your video should tell a housesitting story that others will want to hear about, whether you tell it from a homeowner’s perspective or a housesitter’s. You could also collaborate and tell both sides of the story.

Ideas – We have listed some ideas that people have shared with us in the past about why they like and benefit from housesitting.

• Pets – You may want to include the pets you have been looking after, or for whom you want care in your absence
• New perspectives – as a housesitter you may see new locations from a fresh neighbourhood perspective, living like a local
• Travel – You may want to talk about how housesitting enables you to travel affordably either as a housesitter not paying for accommodation, or as a homeowner finding housesitters you can trust to care for your property and pets for free! Meeting new people –
• Making Friends – Some of our members say that through sharing and collaboration in housesitting they make new friends along the way

Video Competition Rules

Open to: all housesitters and homeowners who are active in housesitting. You don’t have to be a member of HouseSitMatch to enter!

1. GUIDELINES:
   – Length – 1 minute maximum duration
   – Original  – Your video submission must be original, not previously published anywhere online
   – Format  – Your video must be in a format compatible with YouTube Click to view options
   – Theme  – “Housesitting is brilliant because..”
   – Content – Please keep all entries legal, decent, honest and true, we know you will – Thank you!
   – Credit  – We will credit the originator and all participants of the video should your submission be used for promotion (please give full names of all involved).
   – Permissions  – By entering the 2018 HouseSitMatch Video Competition you will have secured permission from all participants for use of their images and voices, and you will allow HouseSitMatch to use the materials for promotional purposes.
