OUR HOME We are a retired British couple living in the South West of France in the Gers region. Our home is a modern spacious house with a swimming pool. Our house is located on the edge of a small village which in turn is half way between two small towns. These towns have all the necessary facilities and supermarkets. The area is quiet and has plenty of scope for walks. OUR LOCATION – We live in a very picturesque village called Marciet, between the towns of Nogarot (7km), and Eauze (7km). The latter is a wonderful place if you are interested in Roman history. It was the only place outside of Rome permitted to produce coins during the Roman Empire. There are many things to see including a Roman villa – https://www.elusa.fr/la-villa-de-seviac PLACES TO VISIT – PAU – We are 70k from the city – just over 1hr from the house. This is a historic city known for its art, history and has manage to preserve its heritage with magnificent buildings scattered throughout its territory. There are palaces to visit, villas, museums, and a castle. It is also a very green city, with more than 750 acres of green space TOULOUSE – is 1hr 45 mins away by car BORDEAUX – is 2 hours away by car We are looking for someone​/​a couple to house sit and care for our pets for periods between 7 and 14 days periodically. There is a small car available for use by the house sitters. OUR PETS We have two large dogs (both 9 years old) and 2 cats (unknown age but both well) – both are spayed. Our pets are very much part of the family.
