Hello! We are Anne Marie and Martin a mature retired animal loving couple … non-smoking, responsible, quiet, and trustworthy. We love the outdoors and are fit and active . As a language teacher Martin has lived in various countries, speaks fluent French Spanish and Italian and has international driving experience. As former pet owners ourselves , we have been missing the interaction with our furry friends because of our desire to travel . Our solution has been to walk other people dogs (via BorrowMyDoggy). But we fully intend to have our own pets again in the future once the travel bug has subsided. In addition, we are also used to caring for older animals as our last dog lived to 14 years . So we would love the opportunity of house and pet sitting and see it as a way of combining our love of animals and travel.

Anne Marie and Martin recently house sat for us while looking after our Staffy Lurcher Ruby. As we had only recently adopted her as a reactive and scared rescue we were very nervous, but from the first contact we found them very friendly and easy to communicate with. Their willingness to meet up a couple of times before the actual housesit enabled us to get to know them and see how they and Ruby got on together. While we were on holiday they kept in touch regularly, letting us know how Ruby was getting on and we could see she was obviously well looked after. The pictures said it all! Even though our return was later than hoped they stayed with her which, given the heat we really appreciated. The house was left very clean and tidy and they even washed their bedding. Ruby, though pleased to see us definitely missed them (especially Martin 😁). We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for housesitters and would definitely ask them to sit for us again.
