-Once we sorted out a few things, we settled in to our sit at Alan's quite happily. The area is stunningly beautiful and the cats very easy care. A spare gas tank would have made life a little easier. A car is a must as the house is a long way from amenities.

-It's easy to give Alan straight 5-star reviews - he's also easy-going and thoughtful. He made us very welcome on our first ever house sit. The single cat we were due to sit turned into three - but it was absolutely no problem and we enjoyed the variety (we especially took a shining to Titch the kitten). Caring for the cats was very straightforward - they're pretty low-maintenance and not very demanding! We stayed in Alan's apartment (independent of Alan's living area) - new kitchen and bathroom, plenty of room and a great outdoor area (we mostly ate outdoors). The view across the valley and on towards the med is stunning - we never tired of it. You definitely need a car though ... we're keen cyclists and walkers and it's really too hilly to get to shops, restaurants etc. on a daily basis - the neighbourhood is very classy but there are no walkable amenities. With a car though there is much to explore, great beaches, interesting towns and some fantastic mountain hikes. But getting back to the tranquility of the apartment was also a pleasure. It's a very safe and quiet environment and one that we very much would like to visit again.
