Hello! I'm Toni, a world-traveling, non-smoking, quiet, tidy retired nurse. A couple of years ago, I lost my sweetest and dearest friend, Ciara. She was 17, blind,, and nearly toothless, and was the light of my life. She had a stroke and let me know that it was time for her to cross the rainbow bridge. I thought of getting another pet, but for the first time in my (rather long) life, I was not responsible for anyone but me, and I sort of liked that feeling. Thus, I now travel the world doing house and dog sitting and getting my need for fur-fixes fulfilled. Because of my healthcare background, and having loved and parented a few dogs well into their old age, I like to think of myself as an elderly dog specialist.
