1-10 June Petsit near Hawick Scotland - 1 dog
We live in a 3 bedroom cottage near the charming and historic market town of Hawick (pronounced locally as Hoik) in the Scottish Borders. We have one Collie dog and need housesitters from time to time. Our cottage is on a working farm and has wood chip central heating. The town of Hawick is a 15 min drive away. There you will find all the shops and amenities you need. Hawick is in the historic county of Roxburghshire in the east Southern Uplands of Scotland. It is 10 miles south-west of Jedburgh and 8.9 miles south-south-east of Selkirk Inside photos coming soon. We return very late on 10 June so we kindly ask you to stay until we get back that day. One of our cars will be available for your use subject to insurance. Please get in touch.

-A lovely warm welcome from Chris and Liddy. Good communication before and during the house sit. A lovely part of the country with a nice quiet walk on the doorstep. Jasmine and Rocky were adorable and no bother at all and Mimmi just wanted an occasional stroke. A good first introduction to house sitting for me.

-We received a lovely welcome and our hostswere really lovely people. They picked us up from Newcastle airport and showed us where everything was and anything we needed was available, even the car. The dogs Molly and Jasmine were just wonderful companions and the cat Mimi was so easy and lovable. We just loved them and miss them already. We enjoyed exploring the borders and went back with good memories and twice as much luggage😂

-My experience in the Borders of Scotland with Chris and Liddy could easily be a lovely book. I will try to restrain my desire to share every glorious experience that has most decidedly had a wonderful impact upon me. Two kinder, more welcoming, fun, fascinating people you will never know. I grew to love them and their darling cottage on the lovely country lane lined with hundreds of daffodils. Oh, yes - I went there because of the opportunity to revisit a part of Scotland I was unfamiliar with, and to care for the sweetest pets I could ever have hoped for. Both dogs are lovely huggable affectionate creatures. The Lurcher (my 1st experience) is a large lovely lamb except if spotting a rabbit! They love to walk the country lane and the Border Collie is always ready for an endless game of stick! The kitty and I shared my room, which I loved. She was always ready for a formal event in her beautiful black and white tuxedo coat and would meow hello each morning. She became my darling dolly. Because I love horses and have had a little experience with them, I jumped at the chance of driving out to the pasture to care for the horse and donkey. What a perfect duo! Always eager for carrots and a bit of sweet talk. If I lived in the UK I would hope to be their go-to House/Pet Sitter forever! The best.
