Hello, thanks for checking my profile! My name is Mariska and am semi-retired. I work (a bit) online so have location freedom, and time freedom. Am a former (rescue) dog owner - he passed at age 15.5 in Dec 2023. And used to rescue dogs, so am used to dealing with all kinds of characters :) Also used to have cats, rabbits and a goat (who lived to a ripe old age of 29!!). I love animals, and currently volunteer at the local Animal Hospital​/​ambulance. And am starting to look after ponies​/​horses as well. I'm originally Dutch, lived in Canada for 30 years and moved back to Europe in 2021. Now that I'm on this side of the world, and my son is grown and independent, I have the freedom to explore the world, I find that through housesitting, I get the best of both worlds: spend time with animals, and see new places. (please note, if you only need a housesitter, and don't have animals, that's totally fine too ;) Since 2021 I've housesat many times, with great references (on another platform). I'll treat your home like it's my own, and look after things. Am happy to do videocalls so we can see if we're a good fit.
