Hello, I'm Faber.

Hello! We are Conan and Indrani from Canada. We live in the Nation's beautiful capital: Ottawa. A couple of soon-to-be empty nesters, we have decided it's time to start some serious travelling. While our children may be moving out, our two cats, Charlie and Figaro, are here to stay. Since their creature comforts involve hanging out with us, sleeping near us and often draping themselves across us, we know that they'll need some human companionship while we're gallivanting about the planet for weeks or months at a time. They are indoor cats, with at-will access to an outdoor catio. This means they can still get their hunting ya-yas out. It also means we sometimes have to deal with live "critters" brought in by Figaro as trophies. He never kills them, so we try to return them to the great outdoors before Charlie can catch them. More about Charlie and Figaro: they are both very healthy. Charlie is a 10 year-old faux-Norwegian Forest cat and all-around princess. We adopted him when he was six months old. He was an outdoor cat until five years ago, but has fully embraced the life of an indoor cat. He's reasonably chill, will only eat dry kibble and drink from his water fountain (did I say he was a princess?), and he will tell you when you are required to brush him. A cat's cat, he will only let you love him when it suits him. Figaro is a 5 year-old brown mackerel tabby, aka the standard issue cat (SIC). We adopted him at six months, in full COVID pet adoption furor. Daft as a brush, we marvel that he can survive (even thrive) with just one brain cell. While his go-to pose is belly exposed, he freaks out if you try to pat his head (remember: one brain cell). He LOVES the catio, especially in the early hours. Unlike Charlie, he eats wet food twice a day and some snacks throughout the day. He has a perpetual look of alarm on his face, but can be a real lovebug.
