(by Stripe)Bob and I have lived in the Costa Blanca in our current villa for 14 years. We first moved here with our dogs and cat, all of which have now passed away. We rescued two dogs from the nearest rescue organisation. As the town of Benissa, where we live had no such scheme, I joined with five other retired ladies to raise sufficient funds to build a dog rescue centre in Benissa. This was opened in April 2017. After 8 years, I decided to resign to enable me to spend more time following more artistic pursuits. Meanwhile, Bob signed up as the local Lions club secretary, a position he still holds. Most of our holidays have been taken in the UK or by motorhome with our two salukis, Freya aged six and her daughter, Sharni, aged 18 months. Both girls are very happy with people and with life.

Elaine and Bob gave us a warm welcome and put us at ease from the outset. Our bedroom and bathroom ready for our stay, together with a welcome booklet with all we needed to know, plus maps and tips of places in the area and beautiful locations to walk the pups. Elaine, Bob (and the pups) showed us around and cooked delicious homemade meals. We fell in love with the girls as they were an absolute delight in the house and on walks. The house was super comfortable. In a nutshell, we thoroughly enjoyed our long sit and would love to go back, anytime of the year. New Friends made! Thank you Elaine, Bob ( and Freya and Sharni) for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to sit for you. Warmest regards to you both, and cuddles and fuss to the girls... love them!
