(by Stripe)PETS - 2 dogs: Pippa - mid-size, unknown heritage, nervous nature, comfortable with quietly spoken people especially women. About 3 yrs old. Cruel beginning in life. Jack -Jack Russell look alike, laid back, 9yrs. Both are non aggressive and pleasant. Used to walking. HOUSE-SIT - House. 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, comfortable home, small rural neighborhood, with helpful neighbors. Artist’s house so plenty of paintings and books. LOCATION - Woods all around, river close by. Charleston 18 miles, and Summerville about 10 miles nearest towns. Beaches about 30 minutes. Activities - Retail outlets, cinemas, theatres, performing arts center, Charleston’s international Spoleto Arts Festival will be on Sport - soccer, baseball, football games depending on season Raptor center about 45 minutes away, bird walks, boat excursions. Spend a day on unspoiled island after 20 minute boat ride. 3 minutes from nearest plantation, another two further down the road. Very historical area. Car available for use

Meyriel and John are a very lovely couple who welcomed us into their home as friends, immediately on our arrival. They were kind enough to pick us up from the airport, and drop us off there, after we completed the sit. They have a large and very nice home which we enjoyed. They were kind and generous telling us to use anything in the house as our own. They even let us use their car, which was an immense help. And the dogs were so much fun. Jack an older Jack Russel Terrier was full of energy and loved to play tug o'war and fetch with his toy. Pippa , a female mixed breed, whom I suspect is German Shepherd /Greyhound, is an elegant, and mild mannered girl with a mind of her own. She could be temperamental on her daily walks, she is timid, but certainly not difficult. It was gratifying to gain her trust and affection, which we did within a short time, just by being ourselves. We will miss Pippa and Jack. Meyriel and John were very kind, generous and gracious hosts. We enjoyed our month at their home, and would highly recommend this sit to anyone who would like to explore the Charleston area. We hope to stay in touch with these wonderful people.
