OURSELVES - Malcolm and Shona feel fortunate to be living in such a idyllic​,​ rural location. The Old Manse is in the heart of the village of Thornhill. We play golf at our local club 1​/​2 mile from home and both play curling in nearby market town of Dumfries. We are keen dog walkers with our Border Terrier Ruby. Village amenities are 300 yards from our front door: family bakery​,​ butcher​,​ pubs​,​ restaurant​,​ chemist and bank. THE HOUSESIT - Our home is a Georgian 4 bedroomed house set off the street with a walled garden and electric gate on driveway allowing secure parking. A car may be available for house-sitter’s use. The house is spacious and centrally heated with kitchen (recently refurbished)​,​ lounge has a logburner​,​ TV room​,​ utility. Our dog Ruby could stay or go to Granny. Sky Sports. Bikes.
