I had the pleasure of housesitting for Belinda and Vern in their beautifully remodeled home in Spain. From the start, they were incredibly welcoming, even picking me up from the bus station, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Their home was comfortable and well cared for, and they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Belinda even asked what foods I enjoyed and she stocked the fridge with them. Although the weather was a rain storm and didn’t cooperate during my stay, making it difficult to explore the town, I truly enjoyed my time in their home watching movies with their puppy Luna. She’s a rescue puppy they have only had for a few months, so this was a total new experience all the way around and I was their first house sitter experience. Now on to the star of the show Luna. She’s a sweet puppy who love to play with all her toys. She loves treats, walks, movie night and her bone in the backyard. Like most dogs she doesn’t like the rain and with four days of non stop rain it was hard for her to go play outback. We got in a many walks as possible with the non stop rain. They even complemented me on my walking skills saying she doesn’t walk like that with Vern. Vern has done a great job with her in the short time they have had she. As a professional sitter I’ve walked more dogs around the world than most and Luna is still a puppy and in training and she listens well. Just guide her and reward her with treats on the walk. Sit Luna, Stay Luna, Stop Luna, Walk with me Luna. She will listen. She’s a puppy a very sweet puppy. Luna loves potato chips and fruit and her treats. She like to put her paws on your foot which means I love your or I want to be close to you, she forgets she’s not tiny anymore and likes to be on you if you don’t mind. Remember she’s still a puppy and in training. She likes her cage at night and her blanket or sweater on her before she goes to sleep. You will love Luna. I recommend this housesit to future sitters Belinda and Vern are kind, generous, and truly wonderful hosts and they reply quick if you have a question. Thanks for the opportunity.
