We live in a pretty English village called Chobham in Surrey. Chobham is country village charm at its best with a thriving high street that’s packed with a Norman church, 16th century shops yet still within easy commuting distance to London. Three good pubs in the High Street including a CAMRA micropub and 2 more at the opposite end of the village; all within 10 mins walk of the property. Chobham Common within 200metres is the largest National Nature Reserve in the south of England, a walker’s paradise and home to more than 100 different types of bird species. Chobham even has its own micro museum open Saturday and Sunday and weekly Farmers Market in the village Hall Woking is a 10 min drive away with regular trains into London which take about 30 mins. Other local attractions within 15 miles are Windsor, Guildford, Hampton Court, Richmond Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… House sitters will need to care Spook and keep the house tidy Please feed my cat twice day and police the litter tray daily.

This was a delightfully peaceful sit although within the commuter area of central London. A 4 mile drive to Woking railway station and then a 30 min ride into Waterloo. For me however local village life was so enjoyable, I never considered visiting the city. And of course I had the company of Spook. A quiet soul who mostly followed her own routine. Nina had prepared all for me including a very comprehensive set of house instructions which covered all the information I could need. She briefly pointed out a few village features including supermarkets, shops and restaurants. It is a pleasant one mile walk into the centre of Chobham, although there are also numerous walking paths to choose from. My visit to the church gave me the opportunity to be at peace in the heart of the town. Nina is a very welcoming host and her home and garden were a joy even on the odd dull day. Thank you Nina and Spook for a lovely stay.

A delightful cat-sit! The house was very comfortable and well-prepared for my arrival, in a very nice village with all necessary amenities. The arrangements with Nina were all straightforward, and Spook was a lovely cat to look after. I'd be absolutely delighted to be invited to go back again.

Really enjoyed our stay Nina was very welcoming when we arrived and it was a pleasure to look after the two very affectionate cats. This was the first experience we had since joining the site but it worked very well and hopefully we were all happy.

Nina has been a faultless hostess. Easily said but there is evidence. A pretty bedroom awaited with fresh linen and towels. We spent an evening discussing and recording essential information. She organized a joint walk through the village in order to acquaint me with places for shopping eating and entertainment and the operation of local transport. She almost perfectly calculated the amount of food needed for her pets during a rather extended absence put together various pet-related accessories informed a number of people of my ‰Û÷taking over‰Ûª the house for a while and introduced me when essential and practical thus ensuring that help would be available if required. The cats were truly delightful obviously in some measure also due to the owner‰Ûªs efforts. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
