The cottage accommodation comes with a lounge - with Inglenook fireplace, dining room and kitchen (with Aga) + mini attached kitchen with mod cons + washing machine in utility room. The ensuite also has a 'lounge' but I use it as my office.
Internet - BT Wifi (new in Nov 2023); Oil fired CH operated via very new Honeywell Home Digital keypad (but you need PhD to understand it!). I keep it simple.... All mod cons otherwise.
Public transport - 1 bus a day right outside cottage at 10.15am to Huntingdon (7 miles away), returns around 12.45pm! (NOT weekends). 1.5 mile cycle ride (downhill!) to local Waitrose petrol station with Greggs and Costa (or similar). 4 miles away is Brampton Hut Service area (where A1 and A14 interchange), Petrol station with M&S Food store + 4 or 5 Fast food outlets inc McDonalds.
Nearby - 3 miles away nearest Village is Alconbury (also pretty) with P.O and very good Spar type Store. NB Alconbury Medical Centre (with its own pharmacy) covers surrounding areas and can deliver prescriptions....
Local Attractions - 15 minute drive to Huntingdon (usual chain stores, Tesco, Boots, B&M, Holland & Barrett, bigger M&S Food Store), 30 minute drive to Cambridge / 45 minute to Ely / 30 minutes to Stamford / 20 minute drive to St Ives (a prettier Huntingdon!).
