Active frequent traveller but responsible cat owner! Semi retired these days but love to and need to be away for short periods. Hugo my cat, appreciates company although he's just as happy lulling in 'his' sunny conservatory.

I had a lovely house sit caring for Hugo, a sweet elderly cat in Ian’s home, near Huntingdon, Cambs. As is my usual procedure, I had already met Ian before, along with Hugo, before the sit, so I knew what was required and what to expect. The cottage is comfortable and homely, and in beautiful countryside, with shops just a short drive away. Hugo was a lovely elderly cat, gentle and affectionate. Coming up to me for cuddles and strokes at various times of the day, with his sweet little chirrup. Although not a lap cat, in the evening, he would come and sit with me, as I ate my dinner and relaxed for the evening. I was sad to leave, as I had a relaxing and fun time in Ian’s home, with Hugo. The week I spent here went far too quickly. Thank you 🙂

I have just done a month long cat sit for Hugo. He is very chilled out and easy to look after, spending most of his time asleep on his stool in the conservatory. He did often follow me out into the garden and at night came and sat in the lounge with me.The choclate box house is in a quiet village and has a beautiful garden to sit in, with views out onto the field behind, which can be seen from the French doors leading out from the quietest bedroom I have ever slept in, with just the occasional owl hooting. The bedroom is in a newish extension at the back of the house which has its own ensuite next door. Although on the ground floor, it does have a step to get to it. The house owner, Ian, is very friendly and helpful. There were a few things I needed that I couldn't get locally which were sent the next day by Amazon. Any problems were quickly dealt with and there were friendly neighbours on hand if necessary. There is plenty of off road parking accessed by the back gate.
