Our 3 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, home offers a 180 degree ocean view from the main level and closer to a 200 degree ocean view from the second floor balcony. We have a pool, hot tub, outdoor bathroom and shower, and neighborhood beach access. From our beach, it is a 15 minute leisurely beach walk to Santa Marianita, which has several restaurants and souvenir shops. We are located 15 minutes (driving) from Manta, which is a medium sized city and has all of the modern conveniences (ATM, Bank, Mall, Grocery, Pharmacy, and lots of restaurants). A taxi to Manta is $8, and a Taxi to the Airport is $10. Oh, FYI, Ecuador uses the US dollar. Our temperate weather is really what makes us stand out: Our temperatures range from 20c to 30c year around, with only a few exceptions in either direction. Our warm months are Jan-April (highs close to 30), which is surfing season. Our cool months are July-Nov (highs around 28), which is Kite Surfing season (Santa Marianita is the Kite Surfing capital of Ecuador). From June - Oct you can see humpback whales from all ocean facing rooms of the house! They come here to give birth and stay until their calves are old enough for the deep ocean. From Feb - Jul we have free-range horses that visit our neighborhood on a regular bases. Ecuador has numerous micro-climates and we live only 20 minutes from a small rainforest, which has howler and cappuccino monkeys, several varieties of birds, and exotic plant life. We've even seen a purple tarantula there, which is extremely rare (don't worry, the guide won't let it get you!). Our favorite taxi driver is also a tour guide and can help with setting up excursions.
