The house is in a quiet street, 20 minutes walk from the Downs (hills), the river, and the shops and town centre. There is a garden at the back. Lewes is in the South Downs National Park, so is surrounded by lovely countryside. The sea and white cliffs are easily accessible by bus or train, London is one hour by train, Brighton is next door.
