Hello, I'm R Parker.

We’ve lived in Ballinger since 2004 and have two daughters — one at university and the other now living and working in London. We’re a dog-loving family; having grown up with a Golden Retriever, it felt only natural to have one of our own. Maisie will be nine in May. Although Simon and I are both still working, we’ve recently embraced the empty-nest stage and have started to travel a little more thus needing the housesit services.

My Properties

We live on a lane within a small village, surrounded by the Chiltern hills. Our home is a late 18th century cottage that was originally a pub that has been modernised with a large open plan kitchen, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have a fully secured back garden overlooking paddocks and rolling hills.

Maisie the Golden, is a remarkable, sweet girl and fun to be with. We both fell in love with her instantly. She was well behaved, good on the lead, and an absolute pleasure to look after. Rachel left fabulous notes/instructions that were easy to follow. Hawthorne Cottage is beautiful, and a very relaxing haven in a most delightful country setting, with lovely walks on your doorstep. Hope we get the opportunity to sit for Maisie again. x
