We are an easygoing and friendly family. We don't like putting our dog in kennels when we go on holiday so prefer someone to house sit and care for Thelma in our lovely, detached character home on the outskirts of the bustling historic market town of Hitchin. We like to ensure our sitters enjoy their stay so we make sure they have everything they need for a comfortable, relaxing and stress free stay. Thelma is a 5 year old strong, playful and sometimes bouncy boxer so we prefer a confident dog sitter with large, energetic dog experience. Thelma is calm at home and on walks (unless its play time!) and is good on the lead. She is trained and well behaved but can be a bit stubborn at times! Thelma can also be reactive when dogs she doesn't know come right up to her so she needs a little space so she can sit calmly when other dogs pass. She can be off lead when there are no other dogs close by and tends to stay close to her humans!. This sit is suitable for sitters with older children (age 10+) as Thelma can jump up when playing and excited and might knock young children over! Thelma is used to being left for 4-5 hours max so we are looking for someone who is going to be at home a bit. Thelma will be walked some weekday mornings by our dog walker during the sit who can also be used if you are planning to be out for the whole day. Thelma needs to be fed 3 times a day on raw food and given cuddles as she is a bit of a velcro dog! She has a big character, loves human interaction and she loves to play!
