We are EJ (Emily Jane) and David. Emily Jane heads up Sussex MS Centre, a small local charity while David is a writer and lecturer of ancient history. We live close to some lovely places like Sheffield Park (NT), Charleston (where the Bloomsbury set lived) and Farleys Farm where the photographer, Lee Millar, lived and Picasso and Man Ray visited. The Sussex coast is 12 miles away and encompasses Brighton, the Seven Sisters and Eastbourne, while the South Downs Way passes nearby. There are many options for outings, but we would like Stanley and Oliver not to be left for too long (though we do have a timer food machine that can be used if need be). Our cats, Stanley and Oliver, are delightful characters with big personalities who love being brushed and enjoy human interaction. Because they are nearly 21 years old we very rarely leave them alone, which means one of us staying at home and we haven't had a holiday together since 2022! However, in October this year we both need to attend a family funeral in Scotland so we are looking for some halp for the days listed. Maybe you could help us again if this works for all of us!! Stanley and Oliver are house cats, though they do go out into the back garden. Both need medication in the shape of daily pills. Easy to give. Blood pressure pills for Stan (black cat) and Famotodine pills for Oliver for heartburn/indigestion. Because Oliver is in remission from diabetes (ended 2 years ago), their food also needs to be kept topped up regularly so they can graze. They both have renal conditions which are stable. They drink a lot of water and often stand by the water recepticle they want to drink from which means they are asking for you to refresh that water! Maybe twice or thrice for each bowl a day! While they are very easy going, Stanley is anxious in the dark, and often needs to be supervised when going to the toilet (or else he pees on the bed – he may not behave like this with strangers, but who knows? It's best to be warned. We have waterproof blankets on the beds.) Sometimes he prefers to pee outside. Almost always when using his litter tray he aims badly, which means that pee needs to be soaked up with paper towels from the mat on which the litter tray sits. We are probably not selling this to you but wanted to be honest.
