I’m a retired lady who has had dogs all her life, also, cats, birds, hamsters, goldfish and even a horse many years ago. I have had Boxer dogs since 1961 and lost my last one near the end of January (2018). I am missing dog company. Although I have always had big dogs, my legs are not as good as they used to be so I would struggle to walk a large dog that pulls a lot. If there is a large enough garden or a safe enclosed area to play ball, that would be fine. If the dog walks nicely, or even a smaller dog then it wouldn’t be a problem. I love gardening although again, these days it can only be light gardening, watering of plants etc. I used to have my own plant nursery.

Liz is a very intrepid traveller! In spite of the horrendous weather conditions – snow and ice she insisted she was going to get here as arranged although I said I could arrange for temporary cover for the dogs until the weather improved. Having spent the night in her car she got as far as Bath and finally had to give up and we rescued her from there.! Our two dogs took to her immediately – she is a genuine dog lover and our two were very happy with her. They were well looked after – she does have mobility problems and would have found walking the dogs any distance a problem but we have a large enclosed garden so she exercised them there by throwing toys for them. The house, plants etc were well looked after and there were no problems. She is a very genuine and caring person.

Liz is a lovely lady and a genuine dog lover. She cared very well for our dog, cat, my son’s snake and our home during our holiday this Easter and our dog clearly loved her. She does not do long walks due to difficulties walking long distances but is happy to do short walks and plays with the dog in the garden. I would definately recommend her to others.

We returned today from a 2 week break to find our furry family to be happy and relaxed, and our home well cared for. Our priority has always been to have a housesitter who GENUINELY loves animals, not just paying lip-service. This is sadly lacking in most sitters, but with Liz, we knew we’d found a diamond Many people will mention that they return to find their houses are “cleaner than when they left”. I say that THAT is not what one is looking for in a housesitter. Yes, my house was tidy, but the absolute priority was that my dogs and cats were happy. Another excellent factor is that Liz was very good at keeping in touch and sending a few photos of my precious brood. You’d be surprised how many sitters won’t do that. A lovely hot lunch and dessert rounded off her skills as housesitter. We can wholeheartedly recommend Liz as a safe pair of hands with whom you may leave your pets when you need a holiday!

We were very pleased to welcome back Liz as housesitter during our summer visit to France. There had been a change in pets this time, as our old Dalmatian X had died in May. We took on our son-in-law’s large Dalmatian X Labrador. This didn’t phase Liz–she’s very much a dog person. Although she has a degree of disability, it certainly doesn’t stop her coping with large strong dogs. She always finds a way around it! All the cats were content and our Springer X Lab bitch was pleased to see her again. She leaves our house as she found it–no strange “clean freak” attitude to have to deal with on our return. 5 well-deserved stars! See you again, Liz!

Liz really was a godsend to us agreeing to look after our 3, very energetic young cats at short notice. Although, she loves dogs, she looked after our cats very conscientiously and did her best to ensure that they were safe and cared for at all times. We particularly appreciated the fact that she agreed to stay on for a further 3 days when we were given the chance to extend our trip. It was lovely to come home to a clean and tidy house and to find food waiting in the fridge for us. As this was our first house sitting experience we hadn’t known what to expect and were very pleased with the service Liz provided.

This is the third time that Liz has housesat for us and as always she has been a knight in shining armour stepping in to help out at short notice. Liz is very friendly and an excellent communicator and since she first housesat for us nearly 2 years ago has stayed in touch and become a real friend. We have very boisterous cats who I know, have sometimes been a worry to Liz with their antics so it is very much to her credit that she has continued to provide such good care for them.

We were very lucky to have Liz taking care of our cat Freya. Liz is an experienced house sitter who has a genuine love of animals. We went away confident that Freya and our home would be well looked after. Liz is a lovely person who we would recommend highly. Three words to sum up Liz: trustworthy, caring and friendly.

Liz to the rescue again! This time although it was a very short trip, Liz had the added “challenge” of coping with our 2 & a half month old puppy! She dealt with him admirably, & as always, with the rest of the crew. She could start a school for pet sitters?

Liz cared for our home and dog for with great care and diligence. We’d have no hesitation in recommending her and hope she will be able to sit for us again in the future.

This was Liz’s second sit for us. She takes excellent care of the dog and the house and is highly recommended. A third sit is booked for later in the year – that should say it all!

This was the third time Liz has sat for us, and we are planning the fourth. She is kind and caring and completely reliable. We are very happy to leave our dog and our home in her care.

'Liz is a terrific Sitter with lots of experience - not only looking after my kitty but also suggesting improved ways of increasing his comfort levels. Some really good ideas. Also she was brilliant in welcoming a new Sitter to take over when I was unexpectedly delayed overseas before returning home.....(5 out of 5)'
