“This is the second sit that Sandy and Rob have done for us, so they already knew the animals, house and all the specifics. I was thrilled when Sandy and Rob agreed to do the second sit. I cannot rate Sandy and Rob highly enough. They are excellent sitters, trustworthy, caring and diligent and they went above and beyond to give our pets first rate care. We have a variety of animals, including sheep, a horse and two terriers. Caring for them isn’t always straightforward. One of our dogs cannot be let off the lead and so Sandy and Rob kindly took both dogs to a special secure dog walking field so that they could run around freely. We were kept well informed throughout and we came back to a clean and tidy house and Rob had kindly made us a delicious loaf of sourdough bread for our return. “I cannot praise Sandy and Rob enough for the sit that they have just done for us. They were professional, responsible and conscientious in their approach to the care of our pets and home and were practical, sensible and personable. We had complete peace of mind and trust whilst we were away. This was the first time we had used Trusted Housesitters and we were quite nervous about how the process would unfold. We needn’t have worried, as Sandy and Rob put us at our ease. They have lots of experience and were also thoughtful about how we were feeling. It very quickly became apparent that we had nothing to worry about. They came the day before we left in order to go through the routines with our animals and house and we spent an enjoyable evening. We have quite a menagerie of animals, including an ill/dying hen and two exciteable terriers. Sandy and Rob took it all in their stride and have worked their magic on our dogs, who seemed much calmer on our return. We received photographs and updates whilst we were away, which was thoughtful. We returned to happy/healthy animals, a tidy and clean house, laundered bed linen and an amazing sourdough loaf of bread, made by Rob, in our freezer. “I feel my cat, Luna, and me, were blessed having chosen Sandy and Rob as Luna’s sitters. The day before their sit started Luna got very sick and was hospitilized for 4 days. They were a great support, and took very good care of her once at home. I was able to travel and Luna was properly looked after. Luna became very attached to them. They kept me updated with daily pictures showing how well she was doing. On my return the apartment was very clean and organized. It would be great if they could return in the future. “From the moment we made contact with Sandy and Rob, we knew our three pedigree rescue cats would have the perfect replacement “staff” whilst we were away for a family wedding. From the moment they arrived at our house for the handover evening, they were friendly and professional and their calming presence put everyone at ease after a stressful day of broken down vehicles and the usual last minute wedding panic. One of our Bengals has a tracker fitted to his collar which he sometimes loses, Rob and Sandy were happy to find this and use the tracking app to keep an eye on his movements and were exceptionally accommodating to each of our rather high maintenance felines. We returned to a spotlessly clean house, a freshly baked loaf and most important of all three happy healthy cats. Our initial Whats App on line video meeting made us feel very confident and convinced that they were both taking the house/pet sitting very seriously, they asked all the right questions and had several years of experience. On arrival we showed them around the house and then took them on a tour or the local area, our little Shih Tzu Oliver (Ollie) took to them instantly. Sandy and Rob spent a day and a half with us before we headed off for our 3 week holiday, during which we received regular updates, photos and videos, it was very obvious that our little boy was happy and being very well looked after and being taken on many day trips too. Leaving my young puppy for the first time for a two week holiday was difficult, especially as she was in the midst of a phantom pregnancy. No cupboards rearranged, no cutlery moved, in fact, nothing out of place. And Nipper loved being looked after by her new pals.
