From the very beginning, communication was smooth, warm, and reassuring. Throughout our trip, they kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, which made it so easy to relax knowing our two cats and dog were in such good hands. When we returned, the house was spotless, the animals were clearly happy and well cared for, and we were touched to find kind little notes and a fridge full of food waiting for us—a truly generous and unexpected gesture. They even took great care of our car, which we had left for their use. Alyssa and her husband are a wonderful, reliable, and kind couple, and we recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving house sitters. We would welcome them back anytime! VERY hard! So if you're reading this review and not sure if Alyssa is a good sitter, let me tell you this: she deserves all 5 stars and you'll be so lucky to have her. She stayed in our Santa Fe house for almost 4 weeks. She was fantastic with our dog, taking him for long hikes, walking him, making sure he was happy and healthy. Her long emails proving us detailed updates and pics, gave us a peace of mind from the start. Our house was immaculate when we returned and she even bought us some fruits and cooked for us. I can go on and on about the way she cared for our dog and our house. Dogo misses her already. Thank you Alyssa for being so wonderful! When we returned from our vacation, the cats were happy and content and the garden looked wonderful, even though it was baking August weather with no drop of rain. The house was in perfect order too, so I would have no hesitation in recommending Aly for pet or housesitting anywhere. Thank you, Aly! Theresa and Bob. From our initial email contact, to talking on the phone, the flexibility allowed for our confirmation of flight dates and the time she would arrive on our departure day, she made the whole process efficient and effortless. Aly also grasped immediately how special Sparkle is to us, (especially after the recent loss of our other dog) and over the month we were away she sent us lovely emails updating us on how they were getting on and what adventures they were having together, something our children loved hearing about. We had no doubt Sparkle was in great hands. Upon our arrival back, the house was immaculate, a beautiful bunch of flowers awaited, milk and provisions in the fridge and a rather 'miffed' dog greeted us, one who has subsequently been sitting at the front door waiting for her friend to come back. She has clearly been treasured for the month we were away and we are so grateful to Aly for looking after her so well. If you have the opportunity of having Aly house sit for you, you will be very lucky. I hope she will come back again next year. From the first time we made contact until the day we said goodbye after the sit they were friendly, communicative and wonderful. Our pets were loved and cared for as well as we could only have hoped for. The house was spotless and there was even a hot home cooked dinner when we arrived home after a longhaul international flight. What more could you ask for? We are happy to recommend this lovely duo to house/pet sit to any others seeking a reliable, friendly, pet lovers to take great care of their home and fur babies whilst you take a break.
