Hello, I’m Amite. I’m a lifelong caregiver, a mom, and someone who naturally takes responsibility for people, animals, and homes with care and attentiveness. I’ve spent much of my life managing households, caring for children and animals, and being the steady presence others rely on when they need things handled well. I’ve looked after dogs, fish, small animals such as rabbits, and reptiles, and I’m comfortable following established routines, observing behavior, and responding calmly if something unexpected comes up. I’m not a “high-energy pet entertainer,” but I am deeply consistent, respectful, and attentive, qualities animals and homeowners tend to appreciate. House sitting appeals to me because I enjoy settling into a place, caring for it as if it were my own, and offering peace of mind to people while they’re away. I’m tidy, self-sufficient, communicative, and mindful of the trust involved in caring for someone’s home and animals. Outside of sitting, I enjoy walking, reading, cooking simple nourishing meals, and exploring new places at a thoughtful pace. I value environments that are calm, grounded, and well cared for and I aim to offer the same in return.
